8 Inch Tool Maker's Precision Lathe #178

Owned by Kris Hendricks

Kris bought this lathe out of a scrap yard.  It is missing many parts and he is searching for a parts machine.  It was a Navy machine and the end of the bed is marked "No.1 Lot 9 Serial No.178" and stamped with a Naval anchor insignia.  

Note the small grooves turned in the flats of the headstock cone pulley- it is not known if this is factory original or if it was added later.
