Matt's lathe was purchased from a used machinery dealer and was at one time owned by the Douglas Aircraft Company.  It came equipped with steady and follow rests, three and four jaw chucks, 8" face plate, threading stop, micrometer carriage stop, collet closer and collets, pick off gears, and Thread-Lock spindle mounting system.  He's currently restoring the machine.

New-style follow rest, designed to clear the longer t-slotted cross slide used on the variable-speed 8As.
